Ikat-Print Maxi Dresses for the Summer!

When I was seven, my parents gave me an ikat-print blanket which they told me would give me good dreams. I don’t remember if it ever worked but I can still recall how my ikat blanket looked because magic or no, it was definitely beautiful.

Ikat is a universal weaving style common in many cultures and symbolizes wealth and prestige. Apparently, some cultures also believe that ikat imbues the cloth with powers. So maybe there’s some truth in my magical blanket after all.
