Being both young, gorgeous, and on the best-dressed list, it’s only normal that Carly Rae Jepsen and Taylor Swift are being pitted against each other for a fash off. At the recent MTV European Music Awards held in Frankfurt, Germany, both ladies went for silver dresses. And now people are asking, who looks better?

Both gowns are, without a doubt, stunning. Carly Rae Jepsen went for a strapless creation by Australian designer Johanna Johnson. We love the elaborate floral pattern on the shiny dress and the sweetheart neckline shows off Carly’s beautiful shoulders.

Taylor Swift chose a sheer gown by J. Mendel. We’re crazy over the art deco inspiration. And the see-through panels are unexpectedly risque for Swift’s girl next door image. And we say that’s a good thing.

It’s pretty hard to choose who looks better, and we do have some qualms about Carly’s posture and Taylor’s lack of accessories.
