Pink Wears A Familiar Catherine Deane Dress to the 40th American Music Awards

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

The 40th American Music Awards gave us fashion junkies another interesting red carpet even. But we certainly didn’t expect a fash off between Pink and Kim Kardashian.

Pink arrived at the spectacular event dressed in a bronze Catherine Deane. She looked gorgeous, without a doubt. But we couldn’t help notice that it’s the same dress we saw Kim Kardashian wear for a family photo shoot some months ago.

Save for the color, the intricate cutout detailing of the bodice and the flowy mesh skirt told us that it the identical sister of Kim’s outfit! The two ladies wore them differently, obviously. Pink had a great polished look for the red carpet, her platinum blond hair set, her make up flawless, and simple dangling earrings. When we saw Kim, she had a more casual approach to the Catherine Deane creation, her hair down, her make up the usual emphasis on her eyes.

Repeat performances are rarely booed these days, especially when you have stylish A-listers like the Duchess of Cambridge wearing Temperley more than once! But repeat appearances on different people always opens up the question of “who wore it better?” And who do you think did?

If you want more Catherine Deane dresses, you’ll find more at Shopbop. Our favorite is the wine-colored Mira Sleeveless Gown which also has an intricate corset which is a mix of lace, mesh, and leather. Enjoy!
